Pre-school Gymnastics – walking through 6 years old

American Gymnastics pre-school programs are designed to meet the needs of children walking through 6 years old. Coaches follow weekly lesson plans developed to include skills appropriate for their age and ability. It is our mission to provide an educational, safe and fun atmosphere for your child to grow. In addition to gymnastics skills, your child will have the opportunity to learn and practice listening skills, taking turns, following directions and social interaction with other children.

  • Mini-Starbursts co-ed (with parents): walking -2 years. Starbursts class for our youngest little tumblers. Parent assisted class with emphasis on building basic motor skills.
  • Starbursts co-ed (with parents): 18 months – 3 ½ years. Parent assisted class with emphasis on building basic motor skills such as balancing, jumping, climbing, listening, social interaction and FUN!
  • Shooting Stars co-ed3 – 4 ½ years. Independent class where students begin to develop basic gymnastic skills while emphasizing the fundamentals of coordination, balance, swinging, running, & jumping. All students must be potty trained and able to stay with the class.
  • Shining Stars co-ed: 5-6 years. This class continues to develop basic gymnastic skills with more focus on fine motor skills and technique. The gymnast will develop skills, strength, and flexibility while working on all gymnastics equipment.
  • All Boys Shining Stars: 5-6 years. This is an all boy version of our shining stars class. The class will work to develop basic gymnastics skills and will introduce boys to using men’s gymnastics equipment such as mushroom, pommel horse, high bar and rings.

Girls Instructional Classes –“All girls” 1st grade and older

American Gymnastics Girls Instructional program is designed to meet the needs of recreational students from beginner to advanced. Classes use all 4 Olympic events: Vault, Bars, Beam, and Floor plus trampoline, tumble trak, foam pit, and rope. The program consists of several levels; Bronze, Silver, Gold & Platinum, to give your child a learning experience specific to their gymnastic ability.

  • Bronze: Introduction to gymnastics that focuses on basic fundamentals progressing through more complex beginner skills.
  • Silver: For students who have mastered the basics of the bronze level, this class includes intermediate skills while still continuing the basic fundamentals.
  • Gold: For students have passed the silver level class and are ready to begin working towards more advanced skills
  • Platinum: Advanced class for those with highly developed skills in all events. Must pass gold level.

Boys Instructional Classes – “All boys” 1st grade and older

American Gymnastics boys instructional program is designed to meet the needs of recreational students of all levels. Classes will touch on all 6 Olympic events: Floor, Pommel Horse, Still Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars, and High Bar plus trampoline, tumble trak, foam pit, and rope. These classes are designed to help develop the strength, flexibility, agility, and coordination needed for all sports.

Trampoline & Tumbling – Co-ed 1st grade and older

American Gymnastics Tramp & Tumble classes are a fun and challenging tumbling experience for boys and girls of all skill levels. These classes train on Floor, Trampoline, Tumble Trak, Rope, and Foam Pit for the best overall tumbling experience. These classes will benefit cheerleaders, dancers or those who just want to tumble.

Weekly Events:

  • Tumble Clinics – These one hour clinics are staffed by experienced coaches available to teach and train students of all experience levels on tumbling skills. Drop-in.
  • Open Gym – Open Gym practice time for students to use any equipment they choose. Coaches are on the floor for safety and assistance. Children under 3 must be accompanied by an adult. Drop-in.
